Oomphf is a powerful, high energy funk/pop band fronted by highly sought-after Sammy Sarfas. The funk band is made up of some of the most talented musicians in Brighton and the South East and are on of our bands for hire Brighton. Between them they have played and recorded with an impressive list of artists (Jools Holland, Amy Winehouse, Roy Ayers, Alexander O’Neal, Alice Russell, De La Soul, Nitin Sawney, Viola Wills, Turin Brakes, The Mummers and Quantic Soul Orchestra to mention a few!)
This group of young, experienced musicians are regularly booked as wedding bands Sussex as well as for parties, functions and clubs all over Brighton, the UK and Europe. The band mesmerize crowds with their high energy and showmanship. Outstanding vocals are performed by lead vocalist Sammy Sarfas backed up by a superb horn section with some blistering solos from Rob Heasman on Trumpet and Ben Sarfas on Saxophone. A band is only as good as its drummer and Sam Glasson, is one of the most exceptional and funkiest drummers in the UK. Combine Sam with brilliant guitar, bass and keyboard players and you have one of the best funk band backlines in Britain.

Oomphf are based in the South-East and regularly play at wedding and functions in London, Brighton, Surrey, Sussex, Kent and Essex but we’re more than happy to travel as far as needed to provide the entertainment for your special day – whether thats as your live wedding band, at your corporate function band or any other type of party.

What equipment do Oomphf provide?
The band will arrive with a full PA system. On top of this they provide a high-quality lighting package which includes top of the range disco lighting and lasers.
Can I book Oomphf for my wedding?
Of course! Oomphf are a great option for high-energy live music at your wedding reception, bound to get your guests up on their feet for a dance and singalong. The band are adaptable and will take requests in advance, ideal if you have a first dance song in mind.
Do Oomphf have any residencies?
Oomphf have been known to play at residencies within the South East and are open to hire. Contact us to talk through your needs and we will be sure to come to an agreement.
Would Oomphf be able to travel overseas?
Traditionally Oomphf are booked to play across the United Kingdom, however we are able to plan their attendance outside of the UK by special arrangement. They are happy to travel for your special day so get in touch to plan their visit.

Suggested set up - DJ to play a 30 min warm up before Oomphf/Soul City. Oomphf/ Soul City will play 2 1hr sets with one 15 - 30 min break. During the bands break and after the band has finished DJ Scutty lefunk will play.
